Autumn in Tenterfield: What to expect, when to visit, where to go…
With autumn just around the corner, the beautiful seasonal foliage in and around Tenterfield will soon be starting to show its true colours.
To help you plan your picture-perfect visit, typically, the best time to view the trees in blazes of red, yellow and orange is the two weeks either side of ANZAC Day (April 25), and this year won’t disappoint!
Some of the prime spots to see Tenterfield’s autumn leaves are:
- Molesworth Street (western side – towards the Mount Mackenzie Scenic Drive)
- Millbrook Park (corner of Naas Street and New England Highway)
- Logan Street
- Bruxner Highway (eastern side of town)
- Mount Lindesay Road (on the way to Bald Rock & Boonoo Boonoo National Parks)
While you’re here, enjoy gorgeous autumn days and crisp nights – the perfect excuse to light the wood fire and enjoy a glass of local red!
