Urbenville Multi-Purpose Service (MPS) is a local community, level 2 rural hospital/MPS within the Northern New South Wales Local Health District. The hospital sees over 1,000 Emergency attendances annually. The Urbenville Multi-Purpose Service provides a range of accessible healthcare services to the public.

Visiting Hours

General Ward: 8.00 am to 8.00 pm

Aged Care Unit: 8.30 am to 7.30 pm

Emergency Department

The Emergency Department provides an emergency care service 24hrs/7 days a week to anyone requiring this service. On-call GP Visiting Medical Officers and Emergency Nurses service this department. On presentation to the Emergency department, the patient will be assessed by an Emergency Nurse and triaged.

General Medicine

The 4 bed Acute care ward provides care to the Urbenville community and surrounding areas. There are a combination of single and shared rooms, including a specific Palliative care room (subject to availability)

Aged Care Nursing Home

The aged care nursing home facility is an 18 bed high and low care residential aged care service. There is an activities officer who works weekdays, a combination of Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses and Assistant Nurses who care for our residents 24hrs a day. There is an active Volunteers, group from the community, and regular social activities for residents including social outings/bus trips, as well as onsite activities.
